About Department

Department of ECE established from the inception of college i.e., in the year 2001. The Department was initially started with an intake of 60 seats since the opportunities are stupendous and the increase in demand for the production of engineers it is upgraded to 90 seats in 2004. The intake has increased further to 120 in the year 2005. concentrating and imparting electronic & technological solutions in to the young minds of the Society. Forecasting the tremendous growth & opportunities in VLSI, the Department also started a Master of Technology (M. Tech) program in VLSI System Design in the year 2011 with an intake of 12 seats. The faculty has been involved in teaching and research in the diverse aspects such as Wireless Communications & Networking, Microelectronics and VLSI, Digital Image Processing and Antenna design. The department has state of the art laboratories. The department extends its unwavering support for the growth of every student fulfilling their dreams.

Objectives the Department:

  • To prepare students to identify, formulate and solve real life and industrial problems with their knowledge of mathematics, science and electronics and communication engineering.
  • To train students with high ethical, moral and special values such that there is beneficial contribution to the society.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary fields and a strong desire to learn and pursue research work.
  • To provide education to adopt novel technologies towards the betterment of human life and society

Add-on Courses:

The need for add-on courses is to improve the skills and increase the employability of students. At ASTIET, in house training is provided by Industry and Academia experts. Training on specific tools is conducted typically biannually in the college. Certifications are offered to students on Industry related courses at a subsidized cost, apart from encouraging them to take atleast a MOOCs course for self study by the completion of their graduation.
